Fatum Limerick

Client: Fatum Insurances
Agency: Stradius
Category: Print & brochure (concept)
Responsible for: Concept, Art-Direction, Typography
Team with: Marianne Eman, Willem Blankenburh & Farley Lourens (Copy) and Sander van Beusekom (Illustrator)
Translation:
"A young man from Pelican Key
was jogging when he hit a tree
he fell on his back
and twisted his leg
Fatum covered the hospital fee!"
(not a literal translation, but it does gives an idea of the campaign's textual feel)
Extra info: Fatum initially asked for a radio only campaign. One that whould make Fatum stand out from the competition. But that also was to be amusing and sympathetic. Plus should be able to highlight all their insurance products. Thus the limerick campaign was born, to illustrate the various situations in which one can depend on Fatum. "Because when things go bad, Fatum’s insurances do a lot of good". Since the radio ads were well received (people even send their own limericks to Fatum), it was decided to also translate them into newspaper ads. To keep the 'don't worry be happy' vibe, cartoons were used.
